ella chose her outfit, which is quite fitting, because it's almost like a princess dress-up. she was so excited to be going to school just like her grown-up sister. yesterday ella asked if one braid in the back with a 'bendy' would be a cute hair-do? a bendy is when you don't pull the hair all the way through your ponytail. so, let me tell you, it WAS a cute hair-do.
afton's best part of the day was making birthday cards and playing on the playground. believe it or not, playing outside is a BIG deal. this happens about 2-3 times a year. no kidding. she likes her teacher and says she is nicer than her teacher last year. she said, "even on the first day last year, mrs. walter wasn't very nice." so, we are feeling very glad about a nice teacher.

and here's elli at her pre-k. it's held in the basement of a lutheran church. ell has emphasized that her preschool is at a church, but not our church, a different church. the best part of her school time was getting a sticker at the end. she's not too difficult to please, luckily for her teacher!
i had a good day, no tears, no sadness. i did feel a little funny driving home by myself and then coming home to a quiet house. but i got used to it and actually got to talk on the phone without anyone screaming in the background. weird.

Such an exciting day! I love the picture of Ella looking up to her big sister. So CUTE!
They look darling! We are so happy they had such fun first days!
yay, sooo glad Aftie scored a nicer teacher this year. And how darlin' is Ella in that tutu!
Wooo, it's been a while since I've caught up with you!
Glad Aft has a nice teacher this year! Her school must have AC because Q would die if she wore pants last week!!!
Wow, seeing Ella at school! I hope she likes Pixie Villiage!
Kinda nice having a couple of hours to yourself!!!! I'll enjoy that for a few months, I'm sure... until O is up and moving!
LOVE the outfits!! I also really think that the braid bendy was a good idea. That's silly that Afton didn't eat her soup, but I too am glad that she has a nicer teacher this year!
