the new carpet is finally here.

ryan's dad asked if i'd be able to sleep last night because i was so excited!

 so, here's the bamboo transitioning to the family room

my sister megan said we should all sleep on the new carpet tonite.

 ella and i were in charge of duct taping the rolls of old carpet.

 afton took this picture.  she said it was her favorite photo taken.  she was our project document-er.

the new carpet comes monday.

afton and ella visit a chocolate factory

the other day we were out of school and had an invitation to join friends for a tour of fowler's chocolate factory. 

we got to wear these pretty hairnets.

we got to see chocolate being dropped into plastic moulds from a large machine. 

we got to see a lady making peanut clusters with her own (gloved of course) hands.

we got to see a man cutting a big block of sponge candy with a saw!  that really surprised us!

we got to see a girl dipping apples into caramel.

we got to see how the sponge candy is cooked and then poured into a box to cool and rise.

we got to see how mom spends money in the chocolate shop afterwards.

everyday life

i was going through some photos and found some that i think represent our everyday life pretty well.

some are a little fuzzy, just like life can be sometimes. there are always things to be decorated. and taped.
there are always messes to be cleaned up.

every once in a while we get this crazy guy in our house.

we are constantly looking for things. well, some of us are looking.

and some of us are eating pudding at the piano.
