mmmmmm...

i'm happy to report that our pta board meeting went very well.
no crying.
no yelling.
no catfights.
i'm willing to bet these treats contributed to the niceties of the evening.
here are the links to the recipes.
chocolate chip, peanut butter and pretzel cookies.
from sugarcooking

mini chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter ganache and milk chocolate drizzle
from food network

and the HUGE hit of the night...
(i couldn't find a real and true picture to convey the goodness)
i found a quick recipe in the latest martha stewart living (p. 62, bottom) for kettle chips with parmigiano-reggiano.
these were the first thing to be eaten.
here's how you make them.
spread one large bag of kettle chips on a rimmed baking sheet.
bake at 350 degrees for about 6 minutes. when oil starts to appear.
meanwhile mix together 1/2 cup finely grated parmigiano-reggiano, 1/2 tsp paprika, and 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper.
remove chips from oven and immediately sprinkle with cheese mixture.
fantastic!

Oh my YUM! I have to make some treats for the our fireside tomorrow and think I might just go whip up a batch of the peanut butter cupcakes. How could you possibly go wrong with those. All meetings should start with chocolate and then there would be no contention- don't you think? I love you- you super cook.
