catching up with the hulses

two weeks ago was my 5 year mark of being
cancer free!
this was my last 6 month appointment, and the end to the study/drug trial
I participated in.
I wasn't really thinking too much about this appointment,
except for the happiness factor of visiting roswell cancer institute only
1x per year.
but at the end of my appointment, my cute nurse practitioner asked me if she could have a hug.
we've got quite the history together, after all!
i called to share the good news with ryan
and immediately felt the emotions well up.
it really has been an experience to look back on someday.
but not today.
today we celebrate!
with dinner at the cheesecake factory.
 once again
ryan received UB bulls season basketball tickets.
we attended the late night game
that was broadcast
live!
on espn.
it was a VERY fun game!
and p.s. we did arrive early to swap out some vouchers for extra tickets.
that's why there are no other people in the picture.
it was actually the most full I've ever seen the arena.
i guess everyone was hoping to get their mug on espn
yucky buffalo winter
the snow just keeps falling
almost everyday.
will it ever end?
our aftie girl made these cute heart trees for
a church activity.
the girls and boys had to have their wrists tied together
and then try to eat
spaghetti.
aftie made herself sick
with worry over this activity.
but in the end it wasn't quite as
horrifying
as she had envisioned.
nearly every night our littlest silly
wears her pjs inside out
AND
backward
in hopes of a snow day.
so far, no luck
she also puts a penny in the fridge
and
a spoon under her pillow
here's a photo of the school parking lot.
it really is worse than it looks!
ry and i took a selfie after a visit to the
palmyra temple
on Saturday.
i love to visit that peaceful place!
some of aftie's artwork was chosen to go to the regional
art show
held at the university at buffalo.
ConGrATulaTioNS!!
She was a bit disappointed that this was the work submitted,
as it wasn't her best piece.
(in her opinion)
she's got a million other projects/pieces in the works
and is loving all the time she gets to spend
being creative
 and then there's homework...
here's how ella feels about studying...
luckily they get their smarts from ryan
and are both on the honor roll again!
ella was a little worried, but she made it!
way to go, my smarties!!!

What smart, creative girls you have! So fun to see updates on your cute family. And I can only imagine the emotions you must feel when you hit those milestons...Cheesecake Factory sounds like an awesomely yummy way to celebrate.
